To configure the status metadata in Frame.io to work with Screening Room, follow these instructions:

Required Custom Field Setup

1. On the desktop version of Frame.io, under your project folder, select the “Fields” button at the top of the screen.

1. Select “+ New Field”. Give the field a name containing “Status” (e.g., “Review Status”), then specify this is a single-select (recommended) custom metadata field The presenter filters solely on that substring.

1. Add these option labels so the UI toggles align:

   • Awaiting Review

   • Needs Revision

   • Approved

     

     Ensure “Add to all Projects” is selected at the bottom, and then select save.

2. Ensure each option exposes an id and display_name. The UI displays the name but submits the id back to Frame.io.

   

3. Back in the Screening Room application, we can now see our video has the three status options we created earlier.
